Company News 2 min

Phaidon International is delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership with Loughborough Students Men’s Rugby to become the club’s headline sponsor for the 2017/2018 season.

Phaidon International is a specialist, multiple-brand global recruitment group. From our local hubs in Europe, North America, and Asia; we deliver permanent, contract and project-based recruitment services across the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) landscape. As trusted recruitment partners, our award-winning network of micro-specialist consultants works closely with our clients to deliver senior talent for their STEM organisations’ requirements in more than 60 countries worldwide. Our clients choose to partner with us because of our ability to identify, qualify, and secure high calibre individuals; who possess the behavioural skills and technical requirements needed to bring about superior competitive advantage through cultural and bottom line performance improvement.

Phaidon International’s reputation as a highly driven, performance business is frequently proven through high year-on-year growth and prestigious awards such as the Queen’s Award for International Trade 2017. 90% of our management team started at Phaidon as trainees– including Adam Buck – Founder and Executive Chairman, Jon Durrant – Executive Director and Paul Norman Director of Professional services; all of whom graduated from Loughborough University.

Loughborough University is one of the UK's leading centres of excellence for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Loughborough Sport has always been at the heart of the university since its creation in 1909. The sporting community has now grown to encompass not just students but also elite athletes, national governing bodies, the local community and of course in 2012 the official preparation camp for TEAM GB ahead of the Olympic Games.

Loughborough University holds one of the best students men’s rugby teams in the UK, with over 70 of their players having made it to an international level and 17 making it to The Lions. In 2015, Loughborough opened its second campus on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London; resulting in a diversified and expanded higher education designed to advance students’ professional development.

“As an international STEM recruitment group and a highly driven performance-business, we were looking for a university whose values and results mirrored our own as well as our passion for success. What attracted us to Loughborough was the well-known international performance heritage synonymous with the University, and we couldn’t be more excited about the partnership and season to come.” commented Phaidon International’s Marketing Executive, Victoria Rush.

Reflecting on the partnership, Jo Simpson, Commercial Director at Loughborough University commented “‘We are delighted that Phaidon International are sponsoring our iconic Men’s Rugby team. This is a great moment for both of our organisations as the opportunities to develop a close partnership aligned by our shared values are massive. The fact that two of our alumni, Adam Buck and Jon Durrant, are back working with Loughborough Sport highlights the exceptional opportunity this represents.”

Phaidon International’s Global Marketing Director, Gareth Saunders added; “We are very happy to join forces with such an iconic university as Loughborough. We are always looking at connecting with the best future talent to join our organisation and what better place to start than with the students at Loughborough University.”
