Selby Jennings Sleep Out to Support Centrepoint

Date: 01 July 2012

For the second year running, Selby Jennings’ Directors will brave the November cold to “Sleep Out” on the streets of The City, in aid of Centrepoint, the UK’s leading charity for homeless young people.

Last year, Selby Jennings, part of the Phaidon Capital group, raised over £5,500 by participating in the Centrepoint Sleep Out to support homeless 16-25 year olds.

In an attempt to up their stakes on last years’ fundraising, this year 17 members of the Phaidon Capital senior management team will sleep out on the streets of Exchange Square on November 8th.

Steve Yendell, Executive Director of Selby Jennings, participated in last years’ event and commented, “It goes without saying that sleeping out on the street is an unpleasant, uncomfortable and unsafe experience.”

“The Sleep Out, no matter how uncomfortable, is a small price for us to pay to help support a charity that makes such a big difference to the lives of homeless young people in our capital city. This is why we are participating for a second year running and hope to raise at least £6,000 for Centrepoint,” added Yendell.

The money raised from Sleep Out will help Centrepoint continue to provide housing and support to homeless young people in London and across the UK.
