Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety Recruitment

Pharmacovigilance experts are required to maintain the practice of monitoring the effects of medical drugs after they have been licensed for use. The continued rise in regulation and drug approvals through notified bodies increases the workload and need for further activities relating to the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) or any other drug-related problem. Increasing global drug consumption and rising chronic diseases are driving the growth of the global pharmacovigilance market, leading to rising demand for professionals with proven experience.

The role of Safety within Life Sciences varies depending on the size of the organisation, product type etc. However, the responsibilities remain consistent and typically include; collection, detection, assessment, monitoring, reporting and prevention of ADRs. Information is then reported back to regulatory authorities, supporting the basis of patient information and contributing to quality management.
