Travel Requirements: International and Domestic - 30-35% (primarily domestic)


Sales Goals

 Achieve sales targets defined

 Continuously analyze assigned customer base to identify and develop new opportunities and re-evaluate existing opportunities.

 Identify new customers through market analysis.

 Expanding the network within the branded companies segment while identifying and executing on new business opportunities

 Utilize negotiation skills in order to assist in the execution of commercial and developmental purchase orders and agreements with the assigned accounts.

 Full preparation for every meeting with a customer, including analysis of the customer, opportunities and full understanding of TAPI's portfolio.

 Travel throughout the defined territories in order to maximize sales and meet the target number of visits. All visits require advanced preparation in order to achieve maximum results.

 International travel for trade shows, training purposes and with customers where relevant.

 Attend yearly conferences, including DCAT, in order to better network within this industry.

  1. Account Management

 Responsible for managing defined accounts with back office customer service, marketing, finance and logistical support

 Meet all customers' needs based on identification, presentation and sale of products to the customer

 Develop in-depth knowledge of the product line, understanding the needs of this group of customers, the competitive landscape and knowing how to sell Teva API's products based on their requirements.

 Provide strategic insight to the internal management team and suggest ideas for enhancement of operations or improvement.

 Interact with global business units and customer base

  1. Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.



 Bachelors degree (scientific discipline preferred)

 A minimum of five years experience in pharmaceuticals; additionally, two years API sales to pharmaceutical companies are preferred.

 Strong leadership skills and capabilities.

 Ability to identify opportunities and execute on them in an expeditious manner.

 Works effectively in a multi-task environment. Modifies plans as situations warrant; establishes and uses alternative plans. Strategically manages time to balance associate needs, business opportunities, and administrative responsibilities.

 Possesses knowledge, understanding and experience with international competition, business requirements, dynamics and trade regulations pertaining to own business operations. Comprehends how to meld cultural differences, international regulations and own company objectives in ways that result in successfully achieving established goals.

 Is skilled in discussing, conferring, etc in ways that resolve issues and satisfy all parties. Uses tact, diplomacy and unique persuasion to reach amicable agreements or resolve problems.

 Has up to date knowledge of current and emerging technology within the industry and understands its implications from a competitive standpoint. Cultivates and maintains close contact with key information sources (vendors, suppliers, consultants, relevant academic institutions, technical professionals) and reads key publications keeping current on new technological innovations. Understands strategic implications of such change, and responds appropriately.

 Identifies issues and opportunities, prioritizes them, and successfully implements them. Uses a variety of cognitive skills and processes to arrive at sound decisions and solutions. Able to continually focus on achievement of objectives.

 Science background preferred, ideally in Chemistry.
