The Associate Director's Responsibilities
The Associate Director will function as a Surgical reimbursement expert for all devices-related projects within the EMEA Market Access department. It will be crucial to partner with the other EMEA Market Access and Surgical team members to ensure close alignment on all levels and consistent strategy implementation.

  • Health systems structure (coverage, coding, payment methods

  • Establish multiple buyers systems (Funding mechanisms of medical devices)

  • Strategize funding requirements such as HTA and economic value proposition

  • Rise of new influencers (Negotiations of devices on national, regional and account level

  • Build strong evidence generation (RWE, clinical studies incl. IITs and Registries)

  • Value proposition and messages (Development of value communication materials to support negotiations)

  • Stakeholder engagement (involved in listing processes in accounts)

  • Define Payer landscape on a regional level deciding upon device reimbursement

  • Lead contracting Strategy and implement Various contract formats/ elements (e.g. volume agreements)

  • The price structure of devices

  • Co-lead tendering negotiations

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

· Hybrid function navigating between Market Access requirements, Commercial impact and evidence generation initiation (scientific)

· Strong Team player

· Leadership in directing cross-functional project-teams

· Strong networking skills

· Background experience or high interest in ophthalmology
