We are currently hiring Recruitment Consultants for our specialist recruitment brand Selby Jennings. Selby Jennings are experts in the financial services industry and have provided a service with clients in over 60 countries worldwide.

Each Selby Jennings team focuses on a specific industry sector, and within each team every consultant has a specialist area of expertise – you will become an expert in your field and ensure that you can provide your clients with the knowledge that will enable them to meet their business goals.

Your duties as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the market and different businesses – being able to provide clients with consultative knowledge
  • Finding new business and winning new clients – cold calling and sales and marketing techniques
  • Business development – client meetings and visits
  • Sourcing talent – head hunting, creating adverts
  • Building relationships with your candidates – providing them with consultative knowledge
  • Reviewing applications and screening candidates
  • Organising interviews
  • Managing multiple hiring processes
  • Meeting KPI’s
Right at the beginning of you career you will be a part of our award winning training program which will begin your Phaidon career as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. Support onwards will always be offered as and when you need it; regular lunch and learns, one-on-one training sessions, etc. Training is not just at the beginning, but will run all the way through your recruitment career.

Basic Salary: £20,000. Uncapped commission - based upon your results.  You have the potential to earn, in your 1st Year:: £40,000-£45,000, 2nd year: £55,000 3rd year: £70,000+.

Career Progression is also based upon your personal results and not the length of time in the role. There is also the opportunity relocate internationally.

Located in Central London, you will be at the heart of the exciting city.

Required Criteria:

  • Degree is preferred, but not essential
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Strong work ethic
  • Desire to be successful
  • Ability to build relationships with all types of people
  • Ability to work towards targets
  • Strong and confident communication skills.
