I am working with a Washington DC based hedge fund that is eager to add an Investor Relations/Business Development Associate to assist the Head of Sales and Marketing. The firm has over $300M in Assets Under Management and is focused largely on equity long-short, equity long-only, managed futures, and real estate investment strategies.

The firm is seeking a bright, conscientious, and articulate candidate with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic to join the team and support the capital raising efforts by arranging calls, meetings, road shows, and more. This role is ideal for a professional early in their career that is keen on pursuing a career in raising capital for hedge funds.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to senior professionals in executing on-going investor relations plan for both existing and potential clients.
  • Assist in building positive exposure and global brand awareness for the firm
  • Maintain the CRM system and liaise with internal marketing team to create presentations, draft PPMs and create due diligence materials
  • Coordinate calls, meetings, and road shows for the senior sales professionals on the team
  • Draft commutation materials as well as managing the entire website of the firm

Key Requirements:

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in an investor relations/business development role
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Solid understanding of the hedge fund industry
  • Excelling organization, time management, and communications skills
  • Superior attention to detail is a must
