Certified Fire Investigator

A globally recognized, well established and successful engineering, architecture, environmental and construction company who provide services in a range of markets including energy, property and buildings and transportation. They are actively looking to expand the forensic side of the business after an increase in projects and work. They are in a position now where there is a lot of work but not enough forensic engineers to work it.

Certified Fire Investigator Responsibilities:
  • Perform investigations into the origin and cause of fire and explosion incidents
  • Write technical reports based on findings
  • Maintain and gain new client relationships
  • Provide expert testimony when required
  • Travel when necessary

Certified Fire Investigator Requirements:
  • Degree in Fire Science, Forensic Investigations, or related field.
  • 7+ years of fire and explosion investigation experience with a combination of public and private investigations preferred
  • IAAI-CFI (Certified Fire Investigator) Required
  • Working knowledge of National Building Fire Codes and Standards
  • Ability to testify in court if necessary
