LVI Associates are currently seeking a Chief Electrical Estimator who will oversee the day-to-day operations of the estimating department, managing a team of 6 talented Estimators, providing oversight and ensuring bids meet deadlines and are put together with a high attention to detail.

The chosen candidate will be working for a growing organisation who having started in a basement have grown in the last 16 years to complete 700 major projects in high-rise building fit outs & renovations. Over the past 3 years they have had a revenue increase of 320%, and they are seeking the right individual to come be a vital part of the team as they look to go from strength to strength.


- 10 Years' in Electric Construction Estimating

- Proven history of competitive bidding

- Ability to use ConEst confidently

- Experience managing 3+ Estimators at a time

- Has a field background

- Experience training Junior Estimators

- Knowledge of the local market


- Reviewing project drawings and specifications, CAD (Working knowledge of adobe and excel)

- Prepare take-offs in partnership with the Project Management Team.

- Interface with Owners, Superintendents and construction foremen to provide engineering and cost data for project scope and change order preparation.

- Attend walk-through and meetings where needed.

- Maintain file of working documents as back-up for estimating database, including current information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.

- Be able to train Junior Estimators daily, over view their estimates ensuring deadlines are being met

- Ability to oversee a variety of projects at different times, managing deadlines and time scales

- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors.

- Establish and maintain tendering process and conduct negotiations.

- Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
