A leading London based brokerage is looking to take on a commodities Broker with an energy focus. The company is growing and looking to expand its market leading team who specilaise in the European space. The successful broker will be broking deals across the existing markets and building up their presence as well as helping to further develop new markets.

Responsibilities of the Commodities Broker

  • Brokering deals with a variety of funds, banks, utilities and retailers

  • Building the business in new areas and ideally new markets

  • Working with the existing team to provide efficient coverage of the desired markets

  • Manage and develop a list of relationships

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience in a broking or BD/sales environment ideally in the commodities space

  • In depth knowledge and a proven track record across the power markets in either a broking/sales or operations/trading role

  • Excellent communication skills

  • European languages could be advantageous
