Rapidly growing Biotech company focused on the Rare Diseases space are looking for an Associate Director Alliance Management. Due to the continued expansion of their commercial product portfolio and R&D franchise.

Therapy Area coverage includes Rare Diseases, Neurology & Oncology.

This role is looking for an innovative and driven Alliance Manager who will act as: a cross-functional leader contributing to directly managed life sciences partnerships (collaborations, alliances, license transactions, and/or joint ventures) and has experience with the drug development process, medical devices, life science instrumentation, preferably biotech. This role will create value through the effective leadership and management of strategic partnerships by working with internal colleagues & external stakeholders to understand and develop the strategic alliances applicable to this company and their portfolio.

Essential Functions
  • Full life-cycle alliance & partnership management – maximizing value creation at all stages
    Identify, understand, and maximize partnership strategy ensuring program prioritization, operating model and deliver on key metrics agreed upon with wider Alliance Management team
  • Convene and align internal stakeholders for each relevant alliance, ensure effective interactions between the parties involved
  • Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of joint governance for each relevant partnership
  • Proactively identify and drive resolution of key partnership risks and issues
  • Utilize cross-functional knowledge, business acumen and drug development experience to engage with scientific and business leaders across Jazz
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives to improve partnership management capabilities
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and guidance to others working on, especially Project Managers, Global Molecule Leads, Alliance Executive Sponsors and functional leads. Facilitate cross-functional win/win solutions for issues with the potential to adversely impact the alliance relationship or the mutual value drivers
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • - minimum of 6 years of related experience Alliance Management/ Partnership experience
  • - Strong understanding of, clinical development, GxP and regulatory processes, reimbursement and global commercial dynamics in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • - Strong managing relationships, ability to understand all perspectives, find common ground and effectively bridge significant differences
  • - leadership, negotiation, advocacy and influence skills
  • - Strategy development and implementation experience within rapidly growing biotech companies
  • - Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required/Preferred Education
  • Scientific Education: BS, MS, PhD, PharmD, MD is preferred
    (MBA preferred) and 6 years of related experience preferred
  • Description Of Work Environment
    May move from one work location to another occasionally
  • Responsibilities may require a work schedule that may include working outside of “normal” work hours, in order to meet business demands
  • Frequent partner and public contact requiring appropriate business apparel
  • Work indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations and temperature changes
  • Frequent computer use at a workstation
