Job Summary:

An industry leading pharmaceutical services company with expertise across drug distribution and patient services is looking to add to its growing Market Access team. The Director/Sr. Director of Market Access holds a key position within the organization and will be responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships around value proposition strategies and managed markets strategies.

This is a growth hire due to recent funding and expansion plans. The Director/Sr. Director, Market Access will serve as a senior member of the Client Strategy team in a crucial leadership position responsible for developing payer-based value propositions. The Director/Sr. Director of Market Access will be required to write value propositions from scratch, including reading clinical studies and pulling clinical data. This person will also be looked at to train internal account managers on how payers think and serve as a mentor to market access colleagues. This is a highly visible role with communication to senior leaders across a number of pharmaceutical clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop powerful value propositions, incorporating clinical studies, HEOR data and reimbursement aspects

  • Consult with clients to develop market access plans to optimize the commercialization of pharmaceutical products.

  • Secure new business through business development proposals and serving as engagement lead on client initiatives.

  • Provide senior leadership on client accounts

  • Interpret HEOR, clinical and reimbursement data to create effective market access strategies.

  • Organizational leadership

  • Train and develop staff as needed

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical Market Access/Managed Markets experience.

  • Advanced degree required (MBA, MPH, MHA, ect.)

  • Strong clinical mind with the ability to read and interpret clinical studies

  • Proven track record of Business Development success.

  • Experience commercializing pharmaceutical products and building market access business plans.

  • Deep understanding of HEOR data.

  • Consulting experience is highly preferred.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Positive, energetic attitude and initiative with strong work ethic. Proactive and self-motivated to find and take on new projects that support team goals.

  • Ability to effectively set priorities, handle multiple projects and follow-through on deadlines with minimal supervision.
