District Manager opening within a Rapidly growing Retail E-commerce Company

One of the leading and fastest growing E-Commerce Companies in North America is looking for a strong District Manager to join their Operations Team. Over the last 4 years this company has been going through a large operational change towards a more modern structure. You will be tasked with leading a team of General Managers and Distribution Leads. The success of the territory will rest on your shoulders and is determined by your ability to execute and effectively lead a team that is focused on delivering a perfect experience for the customers.

The District Manager will have the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Track daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual metrics to measure success and develop strategies to improve the experience that we deliver to our customers
  • Serve as the lead between department rollout, local territory execution and other department leadership partners
  • Support your territory team of local General Managers in their daily efforts to ensure that the proper direction is set for managing day-to-day operations
  • Coach and develop team members in your sites to continue to improve while preparing them to take on new roles and responsibilities
  • Develop a deep bench of talent by focusing on performance management and succession planning
  • Ensure your sites are operating at appropriate staffing levels and anticipate needs
  • Assist in the launch of new sites within your territory
  • Regionally-based leader dedicated to their territory

The ideal District Manager candidate will have the following skill set:

  • Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Management, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in retail, supply chain, operations, consulting, or data-driven project management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large onboarding programs to train and onboard high performing employees
  • Leadership and management experience required of multi-location teams
  • Adept at analytical work and the ability to motivate others in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems under pressure
  • Must be willing to travel
