A leading solar and wind company based in Japan is looking for talented engineers to contribute to the design and development of their wide range of solar and wind projects. They are the market leader in the Wind Industry and are looking out for an experienced Electrical Engineer Specialist to join their growing team.

Key responsibilities of the Wind Electrical Engineer role include:

  • Perform electrical engineering work for all Company solar and wind projects, including one-line and three-line electrical design schematic drawings.

  • Perform electrical calculations associated with design of DC, AC and MV electrical systems

  • Deliver timely, high-quality engineering drawings and analysis, whether internally or externally generated, to ensure projects are optimized in terms of cost, quality, schedule and performance

  • Project-manage the grid interconnection process in coordination with the construction project manager to ensure timely completion of all utility work to accommodate our projects

  • Superior communication skills, both verbally and written, with customers, manufacturers, building officials and teammates, English and Japanese speaking

Requirements for the Wind Electrical Engineer role include:

  • Electrical engineering experience in Renewables or Power

  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.

  • Expertise in panels, inverters and monitoring systems for utility scale solar PV systems and/or in large (1.5 to 3 MW) wind turbines.

  • Ability and desire to continuously learn within your position and a rapidly evolving industry

  • English and Japanese speaking
