Incredible opportunity to work as a Linux Endpoint Security Engineer/ Architect with a Tier 1 Investment Bank’s Enterprise Security Platforms Engineering Team to provide high-level engineering and security consultancy for Linux security agents. The company is consistently growing its staff and will continue to create new projects in this exciting field for the foreseeable future.  As an added bonus, the office is located in Manhattan, which provides easy accessibility for anyone living in the NY metro area. 

Skills Required:
  • 8+ years experience as Linux Engineer (ideal candidate will have experience in Financial Services)
  • Strong experience of automating, engineering, and architecting expert level RHEL/ Solaris Security solutions
  • Ideally, you will have worked in a Global Environment of 50K + Servers
  • Additional programming languages and skills such as C, Java, SQL, Ruby
    Great communication/ interpersonal skills, flexibility, team player, self-driven
  • Demonstrable skills with RHEL (7+) SELinux, Puppet, Chef, Docker, Luks, Solaris Zones
  • Troubleshooting skills which are effective across all components of the plant (OS, HW, Network & Storage)
  • Experience working with Enterprise Security Products and Frameworks 
  • General networking experience (Firewalls, Routing, NAT, OSI Model, packet trace, and analysis, etc.)
  • SIEM experience with Splunk is a plus 
     
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and best
  • Ability to provide consultancy services to other IT Security teams 
  • Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate all security-focused tools and services 
  • Input into Business Continuity Planning and Practices 
  • Security tool development experience is essential
