A leading Environmental consulting and Engineering firm is seeking an Environmental Project Manager for their New Jersey office.

The company specializes in providing geotechnical, environmental, water, ecological, and construction management services to a wide array of private and public clients across the USA.

As an Environmental Project Manager, you will maintain responsibility for the project’s day-to-day operations, scheduling, production, safety, and client relationships. You’ll assist with managing all aspects of an engineering project to ensure that it is safely completed on time and within scope and budget. You’ll work amongst a team of dedicated project managers and principals. The close-knit culture of the firm will allow you to apply your expertise and diversify your skill set by participating in challenging projects. You will be mentored by seasoned professional engineers, who will in turn look to you to share technical knowledge and ideas.
 
Key Duties:
  • Manage large scale and complex environmental assessment and remediation projects 
  • Evaluate environmental data from site investigation activities and develop conceptual site models and cost effective cleanup alternatives with the goal of obtaining a Remedial Action Outcome (RAO) 
  • Review investigation and cleanup cost estimates to support remediation funding source  and financial assurance requirements 
  • Lead company initiatives to help staff better interpret and apply NJDEP regulations and guidance
  • Preparing draft technical reports for review by Senior Management
  • Preparing proposals and scope of work for environmental projects
  • Communicating effectively and efficiently with clients and team members
  • Mentoring of junior staff
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline (Master’s Degree a plus)
  • 10+ years of experience in the environmental industry, with knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in New Jersey and New York
  • Experience with environmental site characterization, Phase I/II site assessments, Engineering, and remediation projects
  • Self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to perform and manage multiple tasks and activities
