An established local bank that has been experiencing tremendous growth is currently seeking an Executive Director/ Senior Vice President to sit within the Group Technology and Operations division. This role is to be based out of Singapore. 


The Main Objectives for the ED - Technology & Operations:
  1. Manage Group Technology and Operations relationship with key stakeholders of business units across Singapore and overseas subsidiaries/branches.
  2. Be a trusted business partner who can pro-actively identify business challenges, propose solutions and initiate delivery.
  3. Support the respective business by defining, developing and delivering holistic T&O capabilities into the business in a way that is sensitive to, and compatible with the business priorities.

Key Responsibilities for the ED - Technology & Operations:   


Stakeholder Relationship Management
  1. Acts as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders and influencers.
  2. Supports effective business change by building relationships with business leaders, technology and operational business partners.
Change Implementation Planning & Management
  1. Anticipate the business challenges, objectives of the T&O initiatives to be undertaken, high-level budgets and success criteria.
  2. Spot potential problems, recognise the risk impact and propose risk mitigation strategies. 
  3. Undertake scoping and evaluation of new initiatives. Defining overall considerations, including scalability, maintainability, cost, operations and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation.
  4. Initiate the implementation plan for Group T&O projects. This will include all the activities that the business needs to do to prepare for new operation process and technical components.
Managing RUN
  1. Manage the communication and regular updates to business stakeholders on production incidents and problems impacting customer and business operations
  2. Lead the regular review with business on system stability, responsiveness, production incident, problem tickets including identification of root cause.
  3. Ensure early identification and resolution of challenges impacting BAU systems. 

Requirements for the ED – Technology & Operations:
  1. Minimum 15 years of relevant banking experience
  2. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  3. Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process design skills that can translate analysis into actions that meet business objectives
  4. Understanding of technology and operational processes across functions/departments in the bank/market.
  5. Experience in defining overall considerations, including scalability, maintainability, cost, operations and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation
  6. Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ business/ finance or equivalent
