The Company:

A global leader in the processing of raw agricultural materials is looking to assist their rapid expansion plans by bringing on an experienced Trade Execution / Operations / Forwarding Manager. The role will have a focus on the European Ethanol market, with some coverage of the Asian/Far Eastern markets.

The company has an established production and supply organization in place and is a major player in the agricultural commodities markets which would provide a consistent and well-financed platform to further develop an already successful trading desk in Europe.  


Role Description: 
  • Management of the team entrusted with forwarding ethanol.
  • Enforcement of maritime contracts of purchase and all sales/purchases in order to minimize all potential risks and ensure that commercial and contractual deadlines and obligations are respected. 
  • Run commercial contracts from the conclusion of the case until its final liquidation of proactively anticipating potential risks and problems that may happen during this process.
  • Understanding of contractual terms, customs and regulatory obligations and boarding by ship, train, truck or barge.
  • Follow the cargos to ensure the respect of contracts (quantity, quality, durability, customs...)
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams (sales, Supply Chain, factories...) and with external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, Charter brokers, insurance, monitoring company, banks for the letters of Credit...)
  • Prepare the documentation and transfer in delays to stakeholders (customer, customs,...)
  • Ensure that client requests and instructions are in line with the contractual, regulatory and customs obligations.
  • Establishing the customer relationship in the execution of contracts (planning, information related to shipments, invoicing, tracking payments...)
 
 Individual Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ of experience in forwarding/trade execution in ethanol, bio-fuel or other related liquid commodities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
  • Fluency in written and conversational English. French would be a bonus.
