A Gas & LNG oriented, London-based consultancy that offers services all along the value chain and operates on a global scale is looking to expand their already successful team by bringing in an experienced analyst.
Covering all phases of project development – the company works extensively in assisting clients in making investment decisions which support the advancement of their organisations through the development of operations and restructuring of value chains.

Role Description:
  • Identify the client’s need and research requirements in order to efficiently source the relevant data/research.
  • Analyse data to provide relevant information, identification of correlations and trends as well as the implications/consequences of the data to the client/project.
  • Prioritise tasks in order to systematically maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
  • Assist with project delivery and presentation to clients.
  • Assist in the building of economic, commercial and financial models for use in simulations/scenarios on projects.
  • Develop and improve forecasting and modeling techniques.
  • Efficiently interpret the underlying research requirements.
  • Define essential data requirements and identify new tools, software, and resources to assist the research and analytical capabilities of the team.
  • Effectively communicate any results or developments to those involved in the project.

Individual Attributes:
  • Ideally 3+ years’ experience in the energy complex in either an analytical or commercial role.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems, adapt to a changing environment and think laterally.
  • Possess quantitative and technical analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Team player with the desire to take on new challenges.
  • Data handling; ability to work with large data sets and effectively analyse research.
  • Strong communication skills; written and spoken English is essential due to target client market.
  • Presentation skills; report writing and ability to communicate complex ideas to those not directly involved in the analysis.
  • Proficient in Advanced Excel and VBA or other relevant software.
  • Confident knowledge of the gas industry and markets.
  • A degree in engineering, mathematics or numerically similar qualification is preferred.
  • Exposure to consulting, Gas/LNG market fundamentals, trends and economics would be advantageous but is not essential.
