Description

A leading and multinational Metals organisation are looking for a Global Category Manager IT & Teleco to work on an exciting new Greenfield Project based in Luxembourg. 

We are currently supporting this organisation in their search for an experienced Category Manager to a team of Strategic Buyers directly reporting and with dotted line reports. You'll have the opportunity to make your name known within the company, and to set up the global strategies for this fast moving organisation after their restructure.

The organisation is rapidly growing and fast paced, working globally from Europe to South America, and is continuing to extend their production!

 

Responsibilities

  • Developing market expertise within your lead buying team
  • Designing the category strategy aligned with your business partners, looking at innovation, best practices, TCO methodology and cost drivers to articulate it
  • Understanding, influencing and optimising the supply chain of the provider as a key lever for purchasing performance increase and risk management optimisation
  • Aligning and bench marking with other category managers, as well as with other industrial companies with whom we partner
  • Supporting your lead buyers negotiations and strategy results, challenging where needed
  • Participating to the yearly budget preparation and ensuring the follow-up

Skills and Experience Required

  • 8+ Years experience Category Management
  • Experience managing a team (any size)
  • Specialising in IT or Teleco Procurement - Bonus if both!
  • Can come from any Industry
  • Proven track record of bringing innovation to a company or working autonomously
  • Bonus if you speak either; French, Portuguese, German or Dutch
