A well-established hedge fund here in NY with about $20bn aum that is seeking a junior-mid level global macro researcher with experience in the equity space. This is a very collaborative team that currently operates with about 15 individuals. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelors degree or above from a top-tier school (Masters or PhD preferred)
  • 0-3 years experience
  • Global macro knowledge (macro equity experience preferred)
  • Past experience in a quantitative or quant-mental field
  • A passion for investing in the financial markets (specifically global macro)

In this role you will gain experience and oversee the critical components of their team investment process within the global macro space. You will establish a strong understating of macroeconomic policy, global investment process, and quant-mental research. Past employees have moved on to become portfolio managers within this team. Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Generating investment ideas
  • Signal research
  • Alpha generation
  • Trade analysis and due diligence
  • Financial modeling
