Main responsibilities of a Recruiter:
  • Business development – Identifying new business opportunities and turning them into business, in turn, they become your client.
  • Posting job adverts – Attracting the right candidates that match your client’s requirements.
  • Qualifying client needs – Communicating with your client to understand the candidate they need and the vacancy they have to ensure you put the right people through.
  • Sourcing candidates – Headhunting from competitors, getting recommendations/referrals, job boards, and Linkedin.
  • Candidate control – Making sure you are closing candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coaching candidates on interview skills – Making sure your candidates have the best chance being recruited by your client.
  • Shortlisting- After speaking with all of your applicants, you will choose the best-suited candidates to then sell to your client for interviewing.
  • Accurately record data- This will build a database that will essentially become your business, record all information about everyone you speak to will allow you to beat your recruitment competition to the punch by finding the right people faster.
What you need to know 
  • Progression to recruitment manager in 1-2 years and Director in 3-5 years- The sky is the limit!
