Head of Business Development - Asset Management

A high-quality asset manager based in London, who run a single global equities strategy are looking to expand their distribution functions but hiring a Head of Business Development. The firm are recruiting on the back of top performance and an extensive track record. The role will report directly to the CEO and work very closely with the Head of Client Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • To drive asset growth in the firm's core investor markets: North America, Australia, South Africa and Europe via pension funds, consultants and endowments.
  • Specifically, by identifying prospective investors and then managing the sales and onboarding process.
  • To develop and implement the marketing strategy for the firms long-only global equities fund.
  • To have an excellent understanding of the firm's products to deliver highly technical pitches to blue-chip institutional investors.
  • Play a key role across the strategy for the whole firm, to improve the product offering to clients.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience raising capital across long-only equity strategies, from the target investor base.
  • Strong understanding of global equities
  • Desire to be involved with the big institutional allocators globally.
  • Extensive rolodex and knowledge of institutional clients.
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • MBA / CFA preferred
