A well-known market leading Heavy Highway and Bridge general contractor are looking a Group/Area Manager to help lead their expansion in the Eastern PA region (Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, Reading, Allentown etc). The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years’ experience in the Heavy Construction/Bridge space and will currently be a Senior Project Manager/Operations Manager/Vice President or similar. Having a thorough knowledge of the PennDOT will also be beneficial. 

Candidate's responsibilities include:

-Overall success of the Projects assigned to them, including but not limited to: Safety, Quality, Owner Satisfaction, Profitability, etc.
-Managing Multiple Projects simultaneously, as well as managing other Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Office Support Staff, etc.
-Train and develop Staff members in order to expand their capabilities so they can greater contribute to the future success of the company
-Constantly Monitor Project Status, and in conjunction with CFO and Vice President of Operations participate in regularly scheduled performance reviews.
-Create, Maintain, and Monitor Project Schedules
-Develop submittal logs for each project, and monitor status to ensure their completion/acceptance in advance of being required.
-Analyze Vendor and Sub-Contractor quotes, and process in accordance with company standards & policies
-Review & approve project cost-related information entered from the field or other office staff in accordance with company standards & policies in order to: maintain complete and correct quantities, identify extra work/change orders, provide accurate cost-at-completion projections, AND to ensure accurate job & item cost history.
-In conjunction with the General Superintendent and Vice President of Operations, assist in resource allocation on assigned projects within the Heavy Civil Division to ensure optimum utilization of company workforce, equipment, and effective scheduling of work to be completed by other Divisions within the company.
-Simultaneously protect the company's interest and maintain excellent working relationships with project Owners and their Representatives.
-Demonstrate at all times effective communication & interpersonal skills
-Sell/promote Company Products and Services

Clean driving record and current PA Driver's license required.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related is required.
PA Licensed PE preferred, but not required
