A nationally recognised consulting engineering company with diverse. high-volume, custom plant projects is seeking an engineer for the opportunity to be hands-on with design, directly involved with clients, and actively participate in marketing initiatives. General responsibilities will include electrical power and I&C support as required for a variety of water and wastewater projects, but the majority of the expected assignments will be related to developing instrumentation, control, and power distribution designs for new water and wastewater treatments plants or improvements to existing water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • developing detailed designs for water and wastewater treatment control systems, instrumentation systems, SCADA systems, and power systems
  • preparing design calculations, coordinating with other support discipline activities on projects, coordinating with regional offices and regulating agencies, construction cost estimating, and quality assurance and control
  • assisting the Electrical Team Leader in managing and mentoring teams, coordinating schedules, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring delivery of quality work products which adhere to company standardization
  • Some travel may be required as projects may require field work for site assessment of project locations and support during construction.

Skills and Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 3 or more years of technical experience 
  • Technical competence in electrical engineering design including controls, instrumentation, SCADA systems, and power distribution systems
  • Proven experience overseeing electrical and I&C designs, including detailed plans and specifications for major projects
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT
  • Ability to obtain PE registration in Ohio and other states of practice
  • Experience in the water/wastewater market with PLC/HMI programmes
