A leading chemical distribution company is searching for a CSL Coordinator to manage the service / logistics requirements for a group of key customer accounts ensuring product delivery and service requirement are met or exceed customer expectations and fall within customer contractual requirements out of there Dallas location. This is an exciting role created to meet the increasing demand regarding upcoming capital projects.


  • Maintain accurate and up to date customer information in ERP system (PeopleSoft)
  • Proactively contact customers to obtain forecasts and understand changes; review and resolve forecast variances together with the appropriate sales manager and update forecasting system (i2 Demand Planner) in a timely manner
  • Through flawless order management (equipment availability, order fulfilment, inventory availability), coordinate product shipments which meet or exceed customer expectations and fall within contractual requirements
  • Verify and confirm shipments in PeopleSoft on a daily basis; ensure accurate shipment information is entered into PeopleSoft;
  • Arrange, verify, track, and confirm incoming supply (typically vessel discharges, purchased product or railcar offload); ensure accurate receipt information is entered into PeopleSoft;
  • Analyze forecast for demand changes and impact on inventory / capacity constraints (e.g., TI Report, Consumption Report, Terminal Order Summary Report); communicate with Manager and Sr. Supply Chain Analyst to ensure inventory level targets are maintained;
  • Seek improvement opportunities/continuous improvement to ensure effective and efficient processes are in place.
  • Support the implementation/execution of the Responsible Care plan as needed which may include (i) conducting Responsible Care presentations / seminars, (ii) lead/support internal or 3rd party supplier audits, (iii) updating supplier guidelines, etc;
  • Maintain and update rail freight rates in PeopleSoft & Invoice Management for Rail Team.


  • Undergraduate degree in business is preferred or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a customer service and/or logistics role
  • Prior PeopleSoft (OM and INV), ShipXpress, rail knowledge/experience considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of 3rd party freight (rail, barge, vessel) beneficial
  • Compelling communication skills; oral and written
  • Analytical mind and problem solving skills
  • Team oriented - must be able to get things done through and with others without direct reporting relationships
