Our client is a leading Swiss private banking group and a premium brand in global wealth management with a focus on servicing and advising private clients. Essentially, they are a leading, dynamically growing private bank headquartered in Zurich and operating internationally.

They are looking for an experienced audit professional for their Business Audit Team in Zurich. In this role, you are performing audits mostly in the Markets (sales and trading) and Treasury area. You will work with other professionals covering locations in Switzerland and abroad. The role offers an opportunity to develop a career in internal audit that provides deep exposure to all aspects of Markets, Treasury, and their support functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning, executing and managing audits within specified timeframes and budgets and in line with GIA standards.
  • Assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Discussing audit findings with the auditee and writing effective audit reports.
  • Providing practical, innovative, and value-adding solutions to audit issues identified.
  • Monitoring resolution of audit issues and effective implementation of management actions through follow-up audits.
  • Establishing strong relationships with auditees and other control groups (Mid Office, Risk, Product Control and Compliance).
  • Staying current with industry and regulatory changes and assessing impact to business processes and the audit plan.

Your Profile:
  • University degree in economics or business or comparable qualification in banking and finance.
  • Several years’ of relevant experience in Treasury, Markets and/or related support functions (preferably in Market Risk or Product Control).
  • Good knowledge and understanding of related key risks and controls.
  • Additional Diploma such as CAS Swiss Certified Treasurer or FRM is a plus.
  • Understanding of international regulatory requirements and embracing new trends and developments in a broad context.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build sustainable partnerships with management.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well individually but also as a team player.
  • Strong analytical and excellent communication skills, verbally and in written in German and English. Skills to balance a big picture view with attention to detail, and present risk issues in a simple and concise way.
  • Eligible to live and work in Switzerland
