MD – Head of Counterparty Risk Analytics

My Client a top investment bank recently created a new position and is looking for an industry veteran and season leader to run one of the top teams in the industry.  The Bank is looking for a forward thinking and top notch quant to take the team to the next level.  All of the Director’s in this team have come from top-tier institutions on the street and made the move to join a platform where the can be involved in the new model development and innovative projects as a whole.  This is a unique opportunity that will allow an individual to come in and move a top team in the industry in a direction of their choosing.  As the MD of this team, you will have a significant amount of interaction with the front office, stakeholders and the heads of all other business lines. This role reports up the Head of Model Development who is one of the most well-respected managers in the quant analytics and quantitative risk field.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading roughly a team of 25 and have all say in the team’s initiatives going forward.  Therefore the candidate will need to have extensive management experience, developed partnerships and relationships across the industry and play an integral part in there current team’s development.

This team is responsible for producing all counterparty credit analytics for the firm so the ideal candidate will be currently leading a large team and be an expert in the counterparty risk analytics field.

Skills Needed:
  • Ph.D. in a technical field
  • 12+ years of experience and 5+ years of management experience leading a team of at least 10 people
  • Extensive knowledge of the Counterparty Risk Analytics Space
  • Applied experience in idea generation and strategic initiative planning and execution
  • A strategic leader who is able to motivate and win over a large team of dynamic personalities
  • Expertise in communicating complex mathematical concepts to audiences that are both quantitative and non-quantitative.
