Medical Director Needed for Expanding Biotech

An expanding biotech company is looking to hire a Medical Director that is responsible for planning and directing all of the company’s clinical development activities which includes establishing and monitoring SOPs, implementing and monitoring clinical studies, as well as interacting with data management teams in order to play a role in data analysis.  

This biotech company is looking for candidates who are looking for an opportunity to wear multiple hats within an organization and help to grow their clinical program from the group up.

The Medical Director will have responsibilities that include:
  • Maintaining clinical development activities in order to develop strategic plans for the controlled growth, expansion, and development of program operations
  • Participate in product development team meetings as well as conferences
  • Solving existing and anticipated organizational problems and formulating new procedures to enhance the clinical development team
  • Managing administrative responsibilities such as clinical budgeting and personnel management for clinical staff
  • Developing protocols and case report forms that include adequate efficacy and safety information for phase I-III clinical trials
  • Ensuring that all clinical programs are in compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical research.
  • Experience in developing clinical protocols for Phase I-III clinical trials
  • Strong preference for MD/Ph.D. or similar advanced degree
  • Experience with Phase I-III clinical trials in hepatology
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience with liver diseases, infectious diseases, or rare diseases
