Title: Model Risk Framework/Governance - AVP
Location: New York / San Francisco
Compensation: 100,000 - 130,000 + bonus

Our client is a is a top international financial institution. Currently, the company is merging their various entities which will add 100+ models to their inventory. As that completes they will be streamlining their model inventory and they need a strong candidate to help with the vetting and onboarding of new models.

The group is responsible for the management of enterprise-wide model risks associated with the Bank's development, deployment, maintenance and use of quantitative models. The successful incumbent will work directly for the Vice President of the Framework & Governance team to enhance the model governance, quality assurance and review process for all phases of the model lifecycle for the second line of defense. The

Responsibilities:

  • Vet the current in-house and vendor models and make recommendations on which to keep or not
  • Manage and oversee Model Risk Management Framework related processes related to model inventory certification and other model lifecycle controls.
  • Communicate with model validators, senior model risk managers, and other members of the AMRM Framework & Governance team regarding quality assurance program requirements, results of reviews, and opportunities for improvement that may be achieved through training, job aides, templates, enhanced procedures or system enhancements.

Skills:

  • Experience with financial modelling concepts, model development or validation, or other related audit, compliance, or governance testing work
  • Experience maintaining policies, procedures, or other governance documents - preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and escalate as appropriate
