An energy company is hiring a Power and /or Gas trader. Currently, the team focuses on the French, German and Benelux region with a desire to grow and expand into new ones, the majority of the trading within this team is spec. on a short term. The role will involve managing a trading book and helping the company expand their markets, the successful candidate will be able to trade between power and gas as well as Emissions/Coal/Carbon as add-on products.

  • Trade energy (Power and/or Gas) across European markets
  • Work efficiently with the existing trading team to provide good coverage of the existing markets
  • Participate in the development of new markets, helping the company continue to grow
  • Utilise the provided research and analysis to develop trading strategies
  • Previous experience in a power and/or gas trading role working on the European Gas and Power markets
  • Proven track record in a successful trading role
  • Willing to be based in Germany
  • German and/or European language skills are advantageous
