A small, established lending firm is currently searching for a creative and motivated Senior Data Scientist to add to their Decision Science team located in Newark CA. The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for collaborating with various business units to conduct research and create machine-learning models or any other tools which are leveraged in the strategies. Thus, this firm is searching a candidate who possesses great confidence, leadership abilities and can easily adapt to various working conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Create machine learning tools to identify hidden insights throughout data for Credit, Marketing and Operations to utilize and further improve their processes and strategies and increase efficiency.
  • Serve as the expert for machine learning algorithms and their applications.
  • Occasionally conduct research for relevant large data for assessing third-party vendor capabilities.
  • Efficiently collaborate with other business units and relevant stakeholders.
  • Actively seek risk and opportunities throughout different areas of the business.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or PhD in quantitative fields such in relation to Data Science.
  • Through understanding of Statistics.
  • Experienced and comfortable with obtaining and utilizing big data sets both structured and unstructured.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques. Advanced skills in NLP and graph databases (Preferred).
  • Experience with machine learning pipelines throughout the life cycle.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python and its machine learning libraries.
  • Someone who is Practical, Creative, Always ready to learn.
  • Able to work productively both independently and collaborate within a team.
  • Able to travel to the East Coast when needed.
  • Able to communicate effectively and appropriately with colleagues throughout all management levels, sectors and external partners.
  • Possess technical leadership skills.
  • Able to success within a cross-functional team and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Be willing to challenge others and also listen to others.
