An early-stage SaaS Security Vendor has recently come out of Stealth Mode and already received two rounds of funding for their disruptive and innovative cloud security software product! The team already consists of past leaders from some of the most well-known security software organisations but now they are looking to add their first official Sales Engineer to the dynamic team!

This professional needs to not only have the technical depth in AWS and Security but also the ability and drive to become a business head and help with the Go-To-Market Strategy. The Principal Sales Engineer will be a trusted technical advisor to a wide range of customers from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises and as such, must be adaptable and ready for anything!

Core Responsibilities
  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
  • Own the technical relationship with customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources
  • Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate the value provided in customer/partner environments
  • Recommend security best practices, cloud architecture, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete cloud security solution 
  • Work with the Executive team in defining the go-to-market strategy as well as developing a growth plan for the SE team (this position will grow into the lead/Director of Sales Engineers)
  • Travel extensively throughout the Bay Area and Washington to work with customers directly
  • 10+ years experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer-facing sales engineer role 
  • Security Vendor Experience is a plus but if not, an interest and passion for the security space is necessary
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, private clouds, VMs, and containerized application architecture. 
  • Experience in and understanding of cloud deployments - especially as it relates to security and compliance requirements
  • Proven success in presenting and delivering technical pitches to CISOs, architects, and technical staff of a range of organisations within the Cloud-Native or Cloud Migrating verticals
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred
  • Start-Up Experience & having a go-getter mentality!
