A leading International Manufacturer for the Railway Industry are currently looking for a Project Buyer to join their team in Germany.

The company are growing significantly across the globe and thus, looking for procurement professional to assist with their new, exciting projects!

The role:

  • Responsible for purchasing materials to complete new product development program

  • In charge of project delegation

  • Negotiate with suppliers regarding best terms, delivery, quality specifications, and lowest overall cost

  • Involved with cross-functional teams including engineering and after-sales

  • Assisting with category management and some strategy development: establishment of new sources of supply, making recommendations to Sourcing, Engineering, and Quality team for the Approved Supplier List

  • Work closely with the management team on cost reduction, on-time delivery programs while handling new product development projects including new commodities, materials, and processes

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in purchasing

  • A strong background with project or program purchasing

  • Industrial experience

  • Fluent in German and English
