Title: Senior Financial Analyst

An exciting global leader in bio-materials and technology is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst! The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial planning and analysis services to the Company's key business leaders including Operations, Sales, R&D and Engineering in addition to the Executive Leadership Teams. This highly visible role will have a direct impact on expanding and scaling the FP&A Department's core planning, reporting and analysis functions.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Financial Analysis:Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of company performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.

  • Analyze profit-and-loss income statements and prepare reports on findings to make recommendations to management; analyze and evaluate the organization's operating results and financial position. Prepare annual, quarterly, or monthly financial and operational reports and assists with the evaluation of business results.

  • Work with business directors and managers to understand state of the business in their specific area to consolidate analysis, validate forecasts and budget, and provide global corporate perspective and story on company's financials

  • Planning and Forecasting :Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes. Maintain and develop various driver-based financial models and standard templates for NuSil's key business leaders during the planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review

  • Build relationships and partner with Operations to evaluate and analyze business plans and forecasts against strategic and cost improvement initiatives

  • Implement and institutionalize the quarterly forecasting process.

  • Lead and streamline the weekly sales forecast process, utilizing Advanced Excel and partnering with Sales and Operations to present a driver-based forecast to Executive Management

  • Business Decision Support :

  • Develop appropriate analysis and reporting to key business leaders, including financial modeling of costs and revenues, to influence decision making and help drive execution of strategic goals

  • Assist in reviewing costs and performing cost benefit analysis related to capital expenditure projects

  • Evaluate financial implications of specific business decisions/opportunities and advise management accordingly to support targeted financial performance achievement

  • Responsible for generating, maintaining and analyzing reports and data for monthly business unit reviews and business process improvements

  • Process Improvements :Identify opportunities and develop recommendations for continuous process and cost/margin/profitability improvements

  • Identify finance core processes for standardization/redesign and implement more streamlined procedures to enhance efficiency and control

The Senior Financial Analyst should have:

  • Minimum 3 years FP&A experience (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance; MBA preferred

  • Experience with Manufacturing industry (preferred)

  • Smaller company experience preferred - wants someone not just interested in cookie cutter environment
