An established national bank specializing in credit cards is currently searching for a mature and analytical Senior Financial Risk Analyst to add to their Risk Management team in Las Vegas NV. The Senior Financial Risk Analyst will be responsible for actively seeking revenue opportunities and identifying risk trends by actively monitoring the company portfolio, general market trends and opportunities for growth. Additionally they will be tasked with creating strategies for account origination, authorizations, collection, credit line increases, fraud, retention and the sale of a revenue-based product. The Analyst must lead an acquisition program in regards to profitability and risk performance. Additionally they must conduct a thorough analysis at the acquisition level and perform other analyses as needed. It is important to constantly seek growth opportunities for the acquisition without harming profitability. Thus, it is very important to create and actively monitor several diligent forecasting models.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate portfolio performance to seek revenue opportunities and risks at early stage.
  • Evaluate individual account's performances and identify data-driven strategies for collections, marketing treatment strategies and risk.
  • Consistently watch different acquisition choices in addition to the roll rates of other buckets to identify portfolio performance trends.
  • Create performance-based strategies such as limit adjustments.
  • Create a variety of analytical tools.
  • Enhance delivery, offers and targeting across multiple consumer contact points and platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Decision Sciences, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics. Advanced degree (Preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience with a similar role in a professional corporate environment utilizing Microsoft Access, Oracle, SAS or SQL Server (Preferred).
  • Able to efficiently collaborate with several departments and team mates.
  • Professional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience in data mining large databases.
  • Experience utilizing predicting modeling to support collections, credit lines, fraud, marketing strategies and risk.
  • Prior experience using SQL (preferred).
  • Experience in customer channel optimization- Web Analytics (Preferred).
  • Consumer Credit Card industry experience (Preferred).
  • Experience utilizing statistical modeling such as CHAID/CART analysis, logistic regression and other general linear models.
