Job Summary:  High growth Medical Communication agency seeking full-time Senior Medical Director to deliver scientific services and products in a variety of therapeutic categories.  As a Senior Medical Director, you will be flexible and able to ramp up quickly in rare, diverse disease states. As the Senior Medical Director you will, with the support of a scientific team, assist with the development, implementation and management of clients’ strategic initiatives, new products and technologies to support the success of several clients, primarily in the neurology/rare diseases business unit.

Agency is based in Northern New Jersey but remote work environment is possible for the right candidate.  This is a hands-on role and you will be working as part of an overall team to develop, create and write scientific content.


Responsibilities: 
  • You will assist the SVP, Scientific Services to communicate key competitive information within the organization.
  • As Senior Medical Director you will develop, create and write disease awareness and branded scientific content. 
  • You are responsible for supervising the activities of Associate Medical Directors, writers and freelancers as well as managing overall project timelines to meet deadlines within assigned therapeutic areas.
  • You are to develop and maintain exceptional relationships with key opinion leaders and manage KOL interaction within the therapeutic areas. 
  • Assist in the development of overall strategy for programs to successfully support clients objectives. 
  • Partner with other internal stakeholders to create innovative best-of-breed and compelling proposals.
  • As senior staff you will serve as a mentor for medical writers and associate medical directors within the department.
  • You will be responsible for organizing and planning all department communications and activities, leading meetings, managing vendors, and ensuring effective program design and completion for your assigned scientific projects.

Qualifications: PhD, PharmD preferred.  Looking for candidate with 4-7 years of medical communications, medical writing, or other relatable agency experience.  Neurology, rare diseases, and/or other high-science experience is highly desired.
