One of the world's leading Life Sciences organisations, a specialist in the Pharmaceutical field have invested heavily, to find a Senior Specialist of Indirect Procurement, due to a company-wide project to develop their procurement department on a larger scale.

We are currently supporting this organisation in their search for a procurement professional to lead all areas of Software spend, such as Logistics, IT, and maintenance, in this Greenfield project. Based in Haarlem, this position is heavily autonomous; reporting to the Director of Procurement, where you will be responsible for developing, creating and then running the procurement department, for this specific commodity.

This rapidly growing organisation requires an experienced professional with a strong track record of working in a dynamic and transforming environment.

Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for introducing to the organisation their procurement category, focusing on Indirect spend, as you will be their first permanent Procurement Professional.

    • You will go and develop connections with contacts globally, purchasing specialist services.

    • Working completely autonomously, with some strategic implications

    • You'll be reporting directly to the Director of Procurement, on site.

Skills and Experience Required

    • Strong educational background.

    • A background in working for industries such as: pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences, medical devices, health care, FMCG or Chemicals.

    • 3-5 years experience of Indirect Procurement

    • A strong preference for proven management experience or potential.

    • Excellent communication skills, as well as strong language abilities in English and Dutch.
