A global, integrated energy and chemical company is looking to expand their London office by incorporating an experienced Shipping Operator.
With an extensive scope covering all business aspects of Oil & Gas, the company strives to become the world-leader in the industry.
This role will require the individual to assist cargo and chartering operations at pre-fixture and post-fixture stages.

 Role Description:
  • Preparation of documents, records maintenance and logistical coordination of crude shipments and cargoes.
  • Lead the communications with cargo operators/traders/charterers on the loading and discharge requirements.
  • Double-check any shipping related costs and send the appropriate payable and receivable notices to the head office.
  • Handle any shipping paperwork administration and input all relevant data into the trading/shipping database systems.
  • Proactively manage the P&L in the Shipping/Trading systems
  • Maintain shipping records and provide tracking information.
  • Retain awareness of current international import/export regulatory requirements.
 Individual Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of oil tanker capabilities is essential (preferably DPP/crude tankers).
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience operating spot cargoes is essential.
  • Candidates would ideally have 3-5 years’ experience in tanker operations.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
  • Excellent written, spoken and interpersonal communication English skills.
