Top Medical Communications agency is seeking a self-starting Sr. Account Director who is responsible for strategic partnerships with clients. This individual must demonstrate a proven strategic background with a history of business development. 

Job description:

The Sr. Account Director will manage day-to-day project execution and relationships with clients, ensuring that development remains consistent with client goals/brand strategies all within an established budget, scope, and timing parameters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintaining an ongoing positive relationship, anticipating client needs, and representing the agency in day-to-day client activities

- Providing clients with insight and recommendations in line with their brand strategy, market trends, and activities

- Conducting client status meetings to review work in progress and upcoming needs

-Understanding and supporting client compliance/regulatory governances, and adhering to their guidelines 

- Preparing proposals, project briefs, and concept documents 

- Reviewing work in development for quality and consistency with a focus on brand strategy and program objectives

- Supporting organic growth between the agency and the client 

- Providing positive morale, resolving queries and conflicts in a timely manner

- Meeting regularly with the VP, Account Services on the overall status of assigned accounts (client relationships, project financials, personal issues/progression, etc.)

- Interfacing with agency departments to communicate appropriate account status, brand activities, and related market information to ensure effective content development and efficient project workflow.

- Ensures all projects are developed, routed, and submitted in accordance with the established agency policies and specified customers' process.

- Works with VP, Account Services, and Departments Heads to manage/prioritize workflow within assigned account and account team, as well as proactively planning for high-volume periods and maintaining appropriate work prioritization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree

- 6 to 8 years medical communications experience 

- 3+ years experience managing a team

- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills

- Effective and proven leadership skills in account direction and growth 

-Ability to lead cross-function teams to develop approaches and deliver tactics that meet our clients' business goals and strategic plans 

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills

-Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment 

-Ability to travel for programs and client locations for meetings as required
