Describe the job:

A very well respected top construction contractor is seeking an experienced Substation Superintendent operate in a travelling role across the southern states. The company is very well established within the energy infrastructure space and is part of a much larger organisation. Currently they are doing extremely well within the market, having won so much busy that they are backed up to 2019. They currently need to bring on a superintendent to ensure that they can continue to grow and take on more projects.

Responsibilities:

–      Assistance to the estimating team with the project bidding process


–      Pre-planning and design of upcoming substation projects


–      Direct supervision of whole team on site (Line General Foreman, Foreman and journeymen)


–      Providing technical guidance on all construction and maintenance activities.


–      Ensuring consistent delivery of the companies ‘unrivalled’ safety standards, process and procedures.


–      Assisting senior management with business development by establishing avenues for service growth.

Skills and Experience Required


–      Must have proven experience in self-performing the construction of substations directly


–      Needs experience at having built every aspect of the project.


–      Must understand all facets of substation construction and the associated voltages.


–      Excellent communicator, leadership and organisational skills.


–      Understands the environmental rules and regulations.
