Vice President, Risk Management

Responsibilities:

  • Creates Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyse and report risks, and to manage risks according to a risk management framework.
  • Leadership of regulatory exam readiness, acting as key point of contact for regulators and examiners in areas relating to risk management
  • Generation of relationships with key stakeholders across the company, providing advisory on Operational and Enterprise Risk initiatives
  • Facilitate the development of compliance/risk training materials and other relevant communication materials, and track and report on the timely completion of employee compliance and related training's.
  • Identify emerging risks and risks associated with new products/ services/ markets/ channels or changes to existing products/ services/ markets/ channels.
  • Ensure business functions adhere to group and business policies and standards
  • Work directly with business partners assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of processes, policies and controls to facilitate the identification, assessment and management of all significant risks, and the application of appropriate monitoring and reporting mechanisms
  • Provide technical feedback, oversight and challenge to prevailing processes, controls and practices, and assist executive management in implementing identified control enhancements

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 3-7+ years of Operational or Enterprise Risk experience
  • BS/BA in a related technical discipline
  • 4-year college degree in business or managing technology/enabling technology
  • Influential leader with the ability to provide recommendations and push initiatives across Senior leadership/ business units
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Hadoop, NiFi, JIRA, SQL, Oracle, and SAS.
  • Senior Leadership/Committee experience a plus
