Vice President International Sales - 20bn Alternative Asset Management Firm

On the back of a highly successful financial year, a leading alternative Asset Management firm based in the heart of London, with circa 20bn assets under management (AUM) is looking to hire a Vice President Business Development candidate to sell their portfolio's across Europe, with a primary focus on German-speaking Europe.

The role is ideal for a candidate with over 7 years (or relevant) experience, who has experience with both traditional and alternative strategies. Fluent German is a must, and experience raising capital in the DACH regions is desirable.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Targeting the biggest pension funds, insurance firms, banks and private wealth channels across the DACH regions primarily, and the rest of Europe as a secondary focus.
  • Working closely with global distribution team, and the global head of sales.
  • Managing and developing existing institutional relationships across Europe to promote the firm's brand and portfolios.
  • Developing a deep understanding of clients needs, limitations and preferences, in order to tailor your approach and product offering.
  • Organising roadshows, prospecting clients, delivering presentations.
  • Performing regular client relationship reviews to ensure their needs are being met.

Desired Experience

  • 7+ years (or equivalent) of relevant experience.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, motivated, desire to succeed.
  • Strong academics, masters preferred.
  • CFA / IMC preferred.
  • Ability to grasp and simplify complex concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written skills.
  • Experience in dealing with complex financial institutions and identifying key decision makers.
  • Experience with traditional and alternative investment.
  • Comfort working with senior figures in business.
  • Ability to understand clients needs, challenges, limitations, and issues.
  • High level of professional integrity.
