Water Resources - Technical Director

This role will suit a seasoned professional who has gained sufficient skills and knowledge to work independently and provide guidance to a team of younger engineers with similar passion on water resources.

Here are the key things you will do:

  • Completion of detailed hydrologic and hydraulic modelling tasks

  • Preparation of reports and presentation of results

  • Contribution to the development of innovative solutions

  • Integration of leading digital techniques

  • Working within a highly motivated team of engineers on a range of infrastructure projects

What can you bring to the team?

  • You will share our passion for re-thinking engineering and be someone who is actively learning and gaining experience to help shape the future. You will also need a relevant technical qualification and chartered status would be preferable.

To be successful you will demonstrate the following qualities and characteristics:

  • A passion to develop leading technical expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling & design.

  • Previous flood modelling and drainage design project experience

  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modelling skills

  • General civil drainage analysis and design experience

Ability to use relevant software including:

  • 1D & 2D flood modelling software - MIKE FLOOD, MIKE 21, MIKE 11, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS

  • Hydrologic modelling software - RAFTS, RORB, URBS

  • Urban drainage software- MIKE URBAN, DRAINS

  • GIS, AutoCAD & 12D design skills

  • MUSIC Modelling

  • Water Balance Modelling

It would be high advantageous if you could bring business connection or relationship from civil engineering firms in New South Wales.
