Water / Wastewater Project Engineer - Philadelphia, PA

Top engineering and design firm currently looking for a project engineer to join their team. The Project Engineer will assist and support the project teams and the firm's key regional clients in the design and planning of complex and innovative combined sewer, wastewater conveyance, and wastewater treatment projects. Key Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in treatment plant and conveyance system design,

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering

  • PE license required

  • Experience in the preparation of contract documents for water and sewer.

  • Familiarity with asset management concepts, including asset inventory, condition assessment, risk-based project prioritization, and capital improvement planning.

  • Experience working with hydraulic models and GIS databases.

  • Experience working on a team with other engineers.

  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparing design plans and reports for wastewater collection and treatment design projects

  • Review of engineering designs, bid packages, RFPs, and Statements of Work prepared by others, as part of a program management role.

  • Presentation of project deliverables to clients.

  • Serving as engineer on assignments as a member of a team, sometimes in a lead role in particular areas of expertise, including peer mentorship of design and consulting staff.
