Phaidon International was proud to sponsor the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure on September 10th in New York City. Held every year, this race supports the Susan G. Komen Foundation which works every day to support women and families fighting breast cancer. This year over 13,000 people and more than 1,000 cancer survivors participated in the race in Central Park. In the days leading up to the event, the Phaidon team held fundraisers to collect donations and raise awareness, and was excited to participate together on race day. The fundraising for this event helps provide breast health access to women in the local community, and contributes to breast cancer research to work towards finding a cure.
Phaidon’s team captain, Kareem Bakr, commented “Thanks to everyone from the Phaidon Family who came out last Saturday and helped support a great cause. We managed to collect over $2,000 in donations, and most importantly we helped raise awareness for an important cause.”
